About Us
Our History
Johnston Scotia was founded in 1979 by John Johnston as Scotia Gas and was run out of a shed on his property in Eckington, Worcestershire. After a few relocations we have landed in European House located in the picturesque village of Bredon, just 15 minutes from where the company original started.
We were the first importers and installers of combination boilers, bringing boilers from France into the UK and installing them in many homes.
After John Johnston's passing, his son, Scott Johnston, took over and has been the director of the business since.
Both Scott and John had a very hands on approach to running the business to ensure the level of service provided is at it absolute peak. When Scott took over he spent a lot of time in the office, often arriving earlier and leaving later than everyone and mastered every part of the business.
Recently, Scott has taken a backseat in the business and left it in the capable hands of Laura Nugent. She oversees daily running of the business and has worked with Scott for many years.
We have built our business and have become a primary repairer for many customers and insurance companies across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire.
We are always looking at new technology that is introduced into the industry, and how we can implement them into our daily services.
Our Commitment
To Service
We are lucky enough to have some of the best staff in the industry. Our engineers have a combined experience of over 70 years as heating engineers. Many of our engineers have additional skills that we have given them to further improve the services we provide.
To Swift Repairs
Our goal is to ensure that your appliance is repaired as quick as we can. Our aim is to have your appliance back up and running within 48 hours of the original appointment.
Our cut-off for part orders is 16:00 and the majority of parts are available for next day delivery. If both the parts and an engineer are available, we will try and get someone back to repair the appliance on the same or next day.
To Quality Repairs and Installations
We only install genuine, certified gas parts.
We use a few different brands for water parts, these are all high quality and built to comply with Water Regulations (WRAS)
We only use reputable suppliers and never second hand components.
The majority of our installations are carried out by our resident Romanian Constantin Lucian "Luca" Brojban., We are very confident in his abilities and he holds himself to a very high standard.
